Okay so Chris Brown is on the cover of Billboard magazine! Pretty much Chris has come to the realization that his past actions were pretty bad on his character and his music. The headline on the magazine reads “Maybe I Was Out Of Control.” and Chris goes on to elaborate on jail, Rihanna, and his new album X coming soon. Chris was quoted saying …

“I realize that what I do for a living opens my life to public scrutiny and that I have a responsibility to everyone because of that exposure… I can say that I am only human and I have made mistakes. I can say that I try to live my life in the most true, honest way that I can. I am not perfect, no one is. No one is harder on me than me. No one can please everyone. No one can live in the past and expect to grow. I have been moving forward and hope that I am not defined by just a few moments in my life but all of the moments that will make up my life.”

Chris will be releasing his sixth studio album X on September 16th!

The Migos are living up to their song “Fight Night” after getting into a brawl with fans at a recent show in Nashville. The trio was performing when sources say a member got their gold chain snatched while he was on stage. Things turned ugly and police were eventually called to the scene. No one was injured.

We all know G-Unit is back together now with the exception of The Game and Olivia. 50 Cent decided to air out his former member Olivia by saying that she used to sleep with Missy Elliot. 50 decided to go on The Breakfast Club and during his sit down the Queens native told Charlamagne ..

K Dot is getting SUED! Kendrick Lamar’s Section.80 was his breakout project into Hip Hop and a track that stood out was a track called “Rigamortis.” Jazz musicians Willie Jones the Third and Eric Reed claim that “Rigamortis” is a rip off from their track called “The Thorn” that was released in 2010. Eric and Willie have filed a lawsuit against Kendrick saying that he never credited them or gave them money for the music. One million dollars is being sought, any profits made from the sale of the track, and they want all rights as well. To sum up what has been going on with Kevin Durant..his contract with Nike expired and Under Armour offers KD a huge about of money to sign with them. Nike has the chance to resign Kevin but has to match Under Armour’s offer. Nike was taking their time until Jay Z added pressure to Nike to hurry up with their offer. Nike matches the offer, Kevin Durant resigns with Nike for a cool $300 million dollar contract. Kevin Durant is signed to Jay Z under Roc Nation Sports which is why the story is amazing. Now adding to the amazement Nike is also offering Durant $25 million dollars after he retires. Perfect timing while KD’s new sneaker hits stores on September 10th!

Chile…..Cee-Lo Green gets three years probation for his two year old ecstasy case. Don’t know what happened? WELL …a woman filed a sexual assault charge on him in 2012 saying the two went out and she was with Cee-Lo drinking and the next thing she knew she was waking up in his bed. Honey…The woman can’t remember a thing and says that Cee-Lo slipped her ecstacy. Cee-Lo plead not guilty to the charge. He chose to plead no contest which allows him to maintain his innocence but he still has dues to pay. The man has to perform 360 hours of community service and attend 52 AA meetings with a private therapist. Honey watch your drink at the bar….OKAY?!

Good ol’ Oprah better be working on that pimp hand. She will be portraying Richard Pryor’s grandmother Marie Carter in the upcoming biopic on Richard’s life. Richard Pryor was raised by his grandmother, but the grandmother was a madam of a whorehouse. Oddly enough Richard’s mother was a prostitute in his grandmothers whore house. SCANDAL you say? Honey I agree! Omar Epps will be playing Richard Pryor instead of Nick Cannon. Recently this role was switched. Will you see the movie when it comes out? I will! Beyonce’s father Matthew Knowles is making news for hinting that the Beyonce, Jay Z, Solange elevator drama was calculated and done to generate sales. Honey I wouldn’t doubt it! Matthew went on down to Houston’s 104.1 radio station and dropped some tea. He was quoted saying …

“I know, from experience, because we’ve done this, there’s a tour going on,” he said, referring to Bey and Jay’s On the Run tour. “So you have to sometimes ignite that tour—it’s called a Jedi mid trick! The Jedi mind trick fools you a lot of time. So things you see sometimes are [poof noise].”
He also says…

Honey did you see the 2014 MTV VMA’s last night????? If you didn’t you missed a good eye blessing! Let’s get right on into it…kicking the show off was Ariana Grande with her song Break Free and then transitioned into Nicki Minaj performing Anaconda! Nicki came out in what looked like an ode to Poison Ivy. There was no six foot long anaconda that was rumored to be out during the set, but there sure was a WHOLE lot of BACK from BABY …OKAY?! Next after Anaconda came “Bang Bang” and Jessie J proceeded to sing her heart out with Ariana Grande, but this time Nicki Minaj had a wardrobe malfunction which she held together very nicely. There was a ghost whispering some where saying “let it go” as she held on to her dress for dear life.

The evening was pretty much decent. I must give an applause to Iggy Azalea for not moving around to much. Nobody really wants to see her dancing so her team did a good job of keeping that toned down. Iggy sticks to poses when she performs. Chile….moving on Usher came out dancing like a machine honey. I wanted to jump into tv land and give him oxygen myself. The R&B singer delivered a great performance of She Came To Give It To You and brought Nicki out for the feature.

Is is just me or did Rita Ora seem very “hype” last night? Wonder what that was all about. Taylor Swift gave some yawns although the crowd loved her performance. There could have been more excitement, and what’s with people wearing leotards. At one point I thought I was watching gymnasts at the Olympics. A great highlight from last night had to have been Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels serving Dumb and Dumber.

There were some moments when the urban community probably turned the channel but everyone was anticipating the Beyonce performance. Beyonce came through and did songs off of her album but teased everyone with not even 10 seconds of Flawless remix which would have been the best part of the night for the women. Beyonce pranced on stage, threw her hair, and let everyone know who Queen B is. Of course MTV put the camera on Blue Ivy and Jay Z during Beyonce’s performance and you could see that Blue is the spitting image of both of her parents but don’t you think shes really starting to look more like Jay Z now? Anyway Jay Z presented his wife with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award and had Blue Ivy on his arm.

The two kissed to show the world their marriage is fine but it kind of seemed awkward like the Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley kiss that seemed like a publicity stunt.

…….Remember that? Beyonce teared up when she accepted the award, said a few words and dashed off the stage. Chile…I needed more drama and scandal but I was satisfied with what I saw! Mtv you sure did come through! Yasssss!

Some interesting news is bubbling out of the pot today my friend. Have you ever worn Under Armour or know an athlete who has? Well Under Armour just made a power move on the NBA’s most valuable player. Kevin Durant was in a contract with Nike but that contract has now expired. Moving forward Kevin has now been offered a 10 year deal from Under Armour ranging between $265-$285 million. Kevin Durant is signed to Jay Z with Roc Nation Sports and will receive a stock in the company and other incentives. On the side Nike can still and has the right to match the offer for Durant. Sounds like a really BIG deal!

In other news relating to #Ferguson rapper T.I. decides to write a 2 part open letter ..Straight out of Atlanta rapper T.I. has chosen to express two open letters about the situation in Ferguson, Missouri. Now Kevin has taken to the media and made claims that he did NOT do it on purpose but, c’mon my black brother you know exactlt what shade you threw. OKAY?! Now Kevin went on to surprise his girlfriend Eniko Parrish during her 30th birthday bash. Funny man Kevin Hart got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Of course she said YES! Could the timing have been better or was this just…a nice thing to do?

Ray J is back in the news following charges of sexual battery, vandalism, battery on a police officer, and resisting a peace officer. Ray J was accused of touching a woman inappropriately. The police seemed to agree that the actions were accidental but the polcie had to carry Ray J away and that’s when Brandy’s brother created a scene. Ray J pleads NOT GUILTY and his preliminary hearing is set for August 28th. Stay tuned….

Chileeeeeeeeeeeee … word on the street is Meek Mill is NOT being granted a hearing for his probation violation and will remain in jail until October. Earlier in the month reports said that Meek Mill had been sentenced to 3-6 months in county jail after a probation violation. Label owner Rick Ross jumped to give a response saying that Meek’s jail time would only be a few weeks but it seems that not even Ross had the final answers about the situation. The rappers legal team had a petition for an emergency court date thinking he would get out of jail as soon as possible. The request was denied. Meek Mill’s legal team says that he as done nothing that could warrant his probation being revoked. Today Meek pleaded for parole from his ongoing sentence but was denied. The judge ordered the rapper to take anger management and parenting classes, then said the earliest he would be released is October 11th. Will you still support Meek Mill and MMG? Will you listen to his new album when it drops? *Rick Ross grunt*

Jay Z the Jigga man proceeds forward and now Roc Nation Sports has obtained a boxing license. Along side 50 Cent and his SMS Promotions, Jay Z and his own Roc Nation Sports will be promoting boxing matches and also sign boxers. According to sources Roc Nation Sports has been working on this move for more than 8 months. Roc Nation does not have any signed boxers yet but has signed David Itskowitch to be its boxing division’s chief operating officer.

Rapper Nelly makes news today and has been criticized by some of his hometown residents for not actually visiting Ferguson, Missouri where #MikeBrown was shot and killed over a week ago. After speaking on the issue in interviews and at a celebrity football game, Nelly finally visited Ferguson. Nelly spoke words to a crowd in Ferguson and said the people need to remain peaceful. Also the rapper stated that they should look at their own actions.  Nelly spoke through a bullhorn. The rapper was quoted saying .. “There’s more doctors. There’s more lawyers. There’s more teachers. There’s more black billionaires. There’s more black millionaires. You got options brothers and sisters. We got to understand we got options and stop choosing the reaction option.” The crown gave applause and shouts of agreement during the speech. Some onlookers asked Nelly what was his plan moving forward, and someone responded to Nelly from when he told the people “You got options” and said “You got options, – you’re rich.” 

Protests continue for #JusticeForMikeBrown in Ferguson, Missouri.

Nas makes his way into the news this week! The Queens Bridge rapper had an interview and spoke on Hip Hop, Tupac, and Biggie Smalls. The MC goes on to say that the death of both rappers hit him really hard because he knew them both but knew Biggie a little more. Nas feels that what the two rappers did for the game in an art form can never be redone, and they can never be replaced. Also, the Nas said that when both rappers passed away he thought it was the end of rap…How did you feel about Hip Hop after losing Tupac and Biggie??

J. Cole took a trip to Ferguson, Missouri to show support for the protesters seeking justice for Michael Brown. J. Cole didn’t tell anyone or use promotion before going to the location but he was captured by residents on camera. J. Cole showed love to the people in the city and spoke to people in the crowds. A fan asked if J. Cole would take a picture with him and J. Cole simply said “I’m not here for that, but I’ll give you a hug.”  Pretty decent of the man.

Kid Ink reportedly was arrested in Las Vegas early on Saturday morning for disturbing the peace. Not many details on the subject but the rapper was taken into custody after a scuffle broke out outside of a 1Oak nightclub. Supposedly the woman the rapper was with instigated an incident and her belligerent behavior got the attention of security. Both Kid Ink and his lady friend were taken to jail…

Come through newsssss! Anyway don’t tell anybody but chile, Lil Wayne went up on ESPN SportsCenter and First Take to reveal his Carter 5 album cover and the release date! Expect to have that music on October 25th… OKAY?! The album was SUPPOSED to be out around August or September but it seems WEEZY F BABY got that ol’ push back and delay! The cover art features Young Weezy with his mother Cita but Wayne chose to have his young face marked with his current tattoos. I can’t wait to hear this album honey COME THROUGH OCTOBER! .. but lets get into other news…

Things are really getting serious in Ferguson, Missouri. If you don’t know what is going on out there in those streets I need you to come up from under that rock! Honey the police of that city were throwing tear gas and rubber bullets at protesters who are there to make their presence felt for #MikeBrown. An infamous online hacking community called “Anonymous” aka (@TheAnonMessage) has released the name of the Ferguson county police officer who allegedly shot the unarmed teenager. Bryan P. Williams is the identified officer and took to his personal Facebook page to  change his name to “Scooby” in hopes that the public would stay off him. The police department has DENIED that the officer has ever worked for them and will still not release the name. President Obama spoke to the nation earlier and said that we should not be violent wit the police but also said the police should not be harming or arresting media trying to do their job by covering this huge situation. Beanie Sigel is now a free man after serving 2 years for tax evasion. Also Beanie was sentenced to an extra 6-23 months for possession of a controlled substance. Beanie failed to pay more than $728,000 in taxes between 1999-2005. Chile why are you not paying Uncle Sam?! Anyway the man is free now just like Remy ma so East Coast hip hop should be happy..I guess.

I got that newsssssssssss chile! Pete Rock drops some news that he has worked with Kendrick Lamar on his new album that will be coming soon! Do you know who Pete Rock is????  Go do some HOMEWORK 🙂 .. anyway info on Kendrick’s new album has been kept quiet and lips have been sealed but it seems this little bit of info is a small insight on what is to come. The album does not have a title yet! Pete Rock says in an interview with XXL that he did some scratching and that he is on the hook on one of Kendrick’s songs on the new album but it is not something he can just sing for you, you have to HEAR it! Pete also says that he met Kendrick through text messaging and that’s how things got started.

A drive-by shooting occurred on the set of the N.W.A movie last week. The movie “Straight Outta Compton” is off to a weird start while the film crew was setting up to shoot for the day last week in Compton. Apparently the shooting took place outside a courthouse. Reports say that a few locals threw up gang signs to cars that were passing by which ignited the passengers in the car to open fire. One person was shot and the shooting is currently under investigation. Filming for the movie will resume this week.

A low quality version of Kanye West’s new track All Day has leaked! It is rumored to be a single from his upcoming seventh studio album.  About a week ago the short version leaked but now a longer snipped is here for your ears. French Montana might be on the record but sources are not clear just yet. The clip is around 2 minutes, and you can hear voices in the background but still get an idea of what the track will be like.
