Okayyy!?! Lets jump right on in to it! Drake has revealed the “Drake Vs Lil Wayne” Air Jordan 3! The all black shoe has a red Jumpman on the tongue, a gold Jumpman on the heel, and the “Drake vs. Lil Wayne” tour logo on the insole. The Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour has already started which leaves many to speculate that more colorways could be coming soon! Sneaker heads… will you be copping a pair???

In more serious news, an unarmed teen was murdered by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri on Satruday. The 18 year old that was killed was #MichaelBrown. Michael Brown and another man got stopped by a cop. Authorities claim that Brown then got into a struggle inside of the police car with the officer over his firearm. Police say that Michael Brown was shot once inside the vehicle and the numerous times in the street. Witnesses say that Brown was shot as he held his hands in the air showing that he was not resisting. The officer that shot and killed Brown has been put on leave of absence pending an investigation.  Protests, hashtags all over social media, and reported rioting has begun. Heavily armed law enforcement has been sent to the area. The mother of Michael Brown reportedly says that rioting and looting is disrespecting the memory of her son. Michael Brown had just graduated high school and was set to attend Vatterott College this fall.

Nicki Minaj sets a new record for female rappers. It seems no matter what is thrown at this woman she always comes out on top. The leading female voice in Hip Hop for the past couple of years makes a heavy mark in history books.  Nicki Minaj set a new record for iTunes. The fierce rapper is the first female to have a number one SOLO single on the iTunes chart. If you add in Nicki’s feature on Jessie J and Ariana Grande’s “Bang Bang” track Nicki becomes the first female rapper to have two lead singles in the top two spots on iTunes at the same time. Nicki recently rapped on a song called “Chiraq” and was quotes saying “I don’t tell niggas, I show niggas.” Well the proof is now in the pudding.

Remy Ma has been released from prison and immediately jumped back into the studio. The rapper teamed up with DJ Khaled and released *They Dont Love You No More Remix. After serving a hot track the rapper spoke to Funkmaster Flex and says that she really wanted to work with Meek MIll but the MMG rapper is locked up for a while now. Remy says that she was disappointed that she was getting out of jail and he had to go in. Later on Remy Ma expressed that she would like to be on a track with Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea. This clearly means that the Bronx native knows where she belong in the rap game and who she can compete with. Remy goes on to speak on the women of rap and gives her opinion on the current situation of the “there can only be one” vibe. Remy says…

 “What I think happens with females in this game, they tend to allow other people to pit us against each other,” she said. “I’ve said this before. They make it seem like there can only be one female. It can be a thousand guys that’s putting out music and rapping and doing what they do, but when it comes to females in this hip-hop business, they make it seem like it can only be one, and if there’s more than one then ‘Alright, y’all better be at each other’s throats every chance that you get.’

Within the past couple of hours so many wigs have been snatched. Edges are no longer attached to scalps, and Rogain has gone up in sales. Beyonce and Nicki Minaj released Flawless Remix and the entire track is just that, flawless. The two women both deliver some bars that make you think twice, and Beyonce finally addresses the fight on the elevator from a couple months ago. 

“Of course sh*t goes down when there is a billion dollars on a elevator.”
I guess that verse slays enough but right after Beyonce spoke those words you hear a money sound on the track. Finishing off the song Nicki Minaj delivers one of her best verses yet. Blowing away all competition like it was done with ease Minaj raps about being the Queen of Rap right after Remy Ma makes a slick comment on her latest track about being the Queen. The song has a bit of a dark feeling to it.
Nicki Minaj finally dropped her delayed Anaconda track on itunes. Some say the delay came from not wanting to drop as soon as she dropped the Flawless remix with Beyonce. Anaconda serves a mean sample from “Baby Got Back” which completely gives an explanation for the art work that created a big buzz and a series of funny memes on instagram. The preview of Anaconda shows Minaj in a jungle. The video is expected to drop in a little over a week.

Chris Brown finally reveals his release date for his highly anticipated album “X”. C Breezy spent time in jail and in rehab but none of that has stopped Chris from delivering music. Chris Brown took to instagram to post a picture. September 16th is the official release date. The project was supposed to be released last May but a judge then ordered Chris to be taken into custody a month after he was kicked out of rehab. C Breezy says that X will be his best album yet and his inspiration comes from Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and Sam Cooke.

Meek Mill has violated his probation and has been allegedly been sentenced to 3-4 month in jail. Karen Civil says 3-4 weeks. Rick Ross got at MTV to get a statement in about his MMG artist. In a written statement the MMG bawse says .. 

I created MMG years ago, my desire was to create a space where the most talented artists in the world could be nurtured and supported. With that came a commitment. I vowed to support these artist, through the good and the bad. Every individual signed to MMG is not just an artist, they are my family. And with family you ride, or you die. Yesterday, my brother, Meek Mill ran into some unfortunate legal issues. It happens. However, his team, our team, will continue to execute Meek’s plan as close to schedule as possible.
Meek Mills 2nd album is expected to still be released September 9th. Dreams Worth More Than Money is coming with no delay according to Rick Ross.

At Brooklyn’s Hip Hop festival the other day JayZ came out on Jay Electronica’s set. JayE was dressed in full Nation Of Islam attire and also came out with the Fruit Of Islam (security). JayZ proceeded to put his controversial  5% Nation chain around the neck of JayE. Many were wondering what this meant!

It seems Lifetime is pushing more urban movies lately. Jill Scott, Eve, and Regina Hall will be starring in a romantic comedy focusing on three single best friends trying to get to the alter. The friends spend 12 months trying to get hitched. No release date has been given as of yet but expect a lot of women to be watching this one.

The Voice of New York Angie Martinez announced that she has resigned from hip hop radio station Hot97. Angie will be joining Clear Channel Media who is a parent company to Power 105.1 and 103.5 The Beat in Miami. Angie Martinez has been at Hot97 for two decades but now will be getting her own afternoon show to air on Power 105.1 and The Beat in Miami.

“I am excited to join Power 105.1 in New York and The Beat in Miami and expand my brand even further in the coming months,” -Martinez
With The Breakfast Club being pushed by Revolt this is a power move for Angie. If there are troubled waters, jump ship. Angie should have no problem adjusting since she has her own brand.

Lil Wayne has announced that he will drop another album after The Carter 5. More music is on the way. He says look out for two albums from him because he has been out of the game for a minute, album wise. He says the reason behind dropping two album is because once he started on The Carter 5 he could not stop working. Wayne did not reveal the name of the second album but says for now we can say “The Other Album” (TOA) as a joke.

Dr. Dre reveals details on the N.W.A biopic “Straight Outta Compton”. The movie will hit theaters August 14, 2015. Ice Cube and Dr Dre will be executive producers for the film and the director is F. Gary Gray. Gray has previously directed Friday, Set It Off, and The Italian Job.
