Rich Homie Quan tried to get into Club LIV in Miami over the weekend with his crew. The security guard told them the venue was at capacity and they would have to wait at the front door like everyone else. The guard, Christian Cajigas has a lawyer now who says,  “The club was at capacity and he told him he had to go around the front and wait like everybody else and that’s when this rapper who thought that he was above the law, that he’s not the average person and he could get in anyway he wanted to.”

Rich Homie name dropped Flo Rida and said ..  “I’m Rich Homie Quan and I’m a rich millionaire, (expletive). I’m coming through these doors. I’m with Flo Rida.”

The security guard told police that Rich Homie punched him twice in the face, with photos documenting a possible broken nose and bloody lip.

 “The rapper was the first person to throw a punch. He’s the one that him right there in the nose. Square in the nose,” Cajigas’ lawyer says.

Allegedly after the incident Rich Homie Quan left on a speedboat that was docked.

On Tidal’s website a counter indicates listeners can use the app in 5 days. Music fans can try out the service for a 7 day free trial. The monthly rate is $19.99. The Gaye Family seems like they are not letting up off necks when it comes to copyright infringement. Since the family won $7.4 million from the “Blurred Lines” decision they Gaye’s have filed a motion to “correct” the jury’s verdict by adding Universal Music, Interscope Records, Star Entertainment, and T.I. to the list of infringers. TMZ got a hold of T.I. at the airport and this was his response..

“I don’t know what’s going on, I never really got caught up in that. I have nothing but admiration and respect for the legacy and estate. And I have nothing but support and extreme admiration for my partner Pharrell. Whatever happened, the universe agreed with it. I know that I’m a writer, I’m a creator, I know that I don’t steal from anybody creatively when I make my music. I know that and I think that anybody with common sense is going to be able to see that when they listen to it.

“Whatever it is, that’s out of my hands. Whatever happens, the right thing will always be [me] being exonerated, because I know I did the right thing and I ain’t intend to steal from anybody on any of my material.

Young Money rapper Lil Twist has a dark cloud over his head. He has been charged with six felonies for an incident that occurred at That’s So Raven star Kyle Massey’s apartment. Twist allegedly beat up Massey’s brother with brass knuckles and stole his wallet and cell phone. Charges include grand theft, burglary, and assault with a deadly weapon. If he is convicted he will face 25 years in prison. Sheesh!

When news broke that Chris Brown has a baby by another woman his girlfriend Karrueche Tran was quick to cut him off. She sat down with Iyanla Vanzant to give details about their relationship. The interview airs Saturday March 28th at 8pm on OWN.

Iyanla says..

The thing that was so surprising to me is how protective and forgiving she is of Chris. She repeatedly offered that he is only human and humans make mistakes. She said she knows he loves her and she just wishes things could change for him.

I think I am a bit more troubled by his behavior than she is. I am disturbed that he has such a gift and blessing and continues to dishonor God, himself, and women with no accountability. Prison was punishment and punitive. It did not teach responsibility or accountability for his behavior or as the steward of a gift.

Anyway, she made no attempt to bash him and will probably come across as naive and relatable.

#McFactz: Man Found Hanging From Tree?, A$AP Yams Cause Of Death, #PHARRELL SPEAKS!

A man from Mississippi was missing and has been found hanging from a tree on Thursday March 19th. Otis Byrd was 54 years old and was found with a bed sheet tied around his neck and skull cap on his head. The FBI is involved and investigating if this was a suicide or a homicide. The body was found 500 yards from his family’s home. Otis had not been seen since March 2nd and he was reported missing on March 8th. Local NAACP members confirmed his identity and are pushing a full investigation of his death.

Pharrell has something to say about the ruling for “Burred Lines.” A Los Angeles jury found Pharrell and Robin Thicke guilty of copyright infringement for their 2013 hit “Blurred Lines.” The family of Marvin Gaye who ownsthe rights to his music said the song “Blurred Lines” was too similar to Marvin Gaye’s 1977 hit “Got To Give It Up.” Pharrell and Thicke were ordered to pay $7.3 million to the Marvin Gaye estate.

Pharrell said..”The verdict hampers any creator out there who who is making something that might be inspired by something else,” and not just in music: “This applies to fashion, music, design… anything. If we lose our freedom to be inspired, we’re going to look up one day and the entertainment industry as we know it will be frozen in litigation.”

“Everything that’s around you in a room was inspired by something or someone. If you kill that, there’s no creativity.”

Artists have to be extra careful now when creating!

A$AP Yams’ death turns out to be accidental. On January 18th hip hop lost A$AP mob founder A$AP Yams. Tragically he was found dead in his NYC apartment and now the cause of death has been revealed. The cause of death was a mixed drug intoxication which included opiates and benzodiazepine.
