#McFactz: #JCole speaks on Culture Vultures, #AzealiaBanks Speaks up On Black America, No Justice For #EricGarner
Yesterday the Grand Jury made the decision not to bring charges against Officer Daniel Pantaleo for the choking death of Eric Garner. Now the Justice Department says that an investigation will be launched on a federal level through a statement that was released by U.S. District Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. Loretta Lynch says.. “Since the death of Eric Garner in July, our office has monitored this case carefully. At the outset, informed by prior experience and in keeping with the standard practice in these types of cases in New York, the local investigation proceeded first. As the Attorney General explained earlier tonight, because the local investigation has come to a close, the Justice Department will now move forward with its own independent inquiry to determine whether federal civil rights laws have been violated. The investigation will be conducted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. The investigation will be fair and thorough, and it will be conducted as expeditiously as possible.”
North Carolina’s own J. Cole has some lyrics on his new album “2014 Forrest Hills Drive” that have people talking. On a track called “Fire Squad” Cole somewhat calls out Eminem, Iggy Azalea, Macklemore and Justin Timberlake for possibly being culture vultures in Hip Hop. The rapper spit on the track .. “History repeats itself and that’s just how it goes / Same way that these rappers always bite each other’s flows/ Same thing that my nigga Elvis did with rock ‘n’ roll / Justin Timberlake, Eminem and then Macklemore.” “While silly nigga argue over who gon’ snatch the crown / Look around my nigga, White people have snatched the sound / This year I’ll be probably go to the awards dappered down / Watch Iggy win a Grammy as I try to crack a smile/I’m just playin’, but all good jokes contain true shit / Same rope you climb up on. They’ll hang you with.” How do those lyrics make you feel?
Last night after the Grand Jury decided not to indict Officer Daniel Pantaleo for the death of Eric Garner many celebrities and artists took to social media to express themselves. One of those artists was Azealia Banks. Azealia made a few hot and fiery points while saying a few things on people’s minds. The rappers was quoted saying .. “The media is trying to scare black people into believing that our lives are worthless.” “I need to sit down with the NAACP and talk about how we’re going to fix this sh*t we call “Black America” cause it’s a f*cking mess.” “First reform needs to be public school texts books… The indoctrination of the young black mind begins in those school books.” “its funny to see people Like Igloo Australia silent when these things happen… Black Culture is cool, but black issues sure aren’t huh?” “If you’re down to ride with us b*tch you gotta RIDE ALL THE WAY. ” Banks then sent a warning to T.I. who is always chiming in trying to fix Iggy’s problems. “AND I DARE THAT SHOE-SHINING COON T.I TO SAY SOMETHING.” -Banks Does Azealia Banks have a point or is she just talking?

Lil Wayne is on the cover of Nylon Magazine and spoke about his dedication to music. The rapper says in the magazine that he feels that he is one of the only artists left who is about the music. When asked about stepping up to the plate as an artist Wayne’s said “I was always ready for the call. That’s the best way to explain it. Wayne’s always ready. When it’s my turn, I make way more than the most of it. If you’re ready when they call you, and you make the most of your time, then they’ll never stop calling you.” When asked about his approach to song writing he said he’s just a regular street guy that’s smarter than the rest. He pretty much raps whatever comes up in his head and he rhymes with the next word how he’s feeling. Weezy also spoke about needing weed to be creative and it helps with inspiration. Wayne says when he first started rapping you only did it to be the best and not to have a hot song or popularity on social media. You have to be unforgettable and the only artists Wayne can think of like that are Beyonce and Kanye West.
There are some teachers and staff who carry concealed guns in the Harrold, Texas school district as the last line of defense in the event of a shooting on campus. The nearest law enforcement agency is 30 miles from town. The superintendent David Thweatt sees his job not only as an educator but protector of the school children.
