thisssssis5050 Cent is now independent and has signed a distribution agreement with Caroline, the independent label at Capital Music Group. Capitol is one of the many labels that are part of Universal Music Group. Eminem and Dr. Dre had a good relationship with him and allowed him to leave the label even though 50 owes one more album. 50 is still under Universal’s umbrella but have allowed 50 full creative control with his projects. They still support him as far as distribution goes. Sounds like good business.

Chris Brown has been sentenced to a month in jail and faces 4 years. Today Chris Breezy was denied release from custody will now stay in jail until April 23rd. Chris Brown was arrested Friday after getting kicked out of rehab. The judge ordered him to stay in rehab while he decided whether Chris Brown violated his probation in the Rihanna case. The judge says Chris has a “inability to stay out of trouble.”

I love me some Kanye ..mannnn this aint cool!

TMZ says Kanye West will NOT be prosecuted for “battery” on a photographer, because he just struck a deal to make the case go away. Kanye West pled “no contest” to misdemeanor battery. Since he plead no contest, the attempted grand theft charge against Kanye has been dismissed.

 Kanye was placed on 24 months of probation and also agreed to 24 private therapy session for anger management. Kanye also agreed to complete 250 hours of community service, and agreed to stay clear of the photog in question. Kanye has to pay for the damage to the photographer’s equipment and his medical bills.
